'Glee' Recap: Episode 21, 'Funk'

Of course, the person to blame for bringing on the bad moods was the swarmy Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff), who in spite of his claims that he really does love Rachel, rejoined Vocal Adrenaline. He and his Carmel High cohorts decide to put McKinley in a (you guessed it) funk with their awesome take (and not so subtle hint) of Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust." Which brings up the other theme of last night's episode: revenge.

Mr. Schuester, now freshly divorced from Terri, was feeling especially vulnerable and vengeful when Sue once again threatened to take over their rehearsal space. So Will, sick of playing Mr. Nice Guy, flipped the switch and decided to seduce her. He laid it on pretty thick with his booty-shaking serenade of Chaka Khan's "Tell Me Something Good" and it was obvious Sue had taken the bait (she even began to have "sexy, non-murdering feelings" for her nemesis). But, when Mr. Schue took it one step too far (standing her up on a date) Sue threatened the well-being of Cheerios future.

The boys and Mercedes even did Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch proud with their fun practice of "Good Vibrations," but it's was group's version of on funk legend George Clinton's "Give Up The Funk" that put Vocal Adrenaline in panic mode.

What did you think of last night's episode. Gleeks? Do you think it felt sort of lackluster too, or were you feeling the funk? Do you think Terri and Finn spell trouble? Were you hoping Will and Sue would actually lock lips? Let us know!
