It's been a crazy year. The King of Pop passed, a black man was elected president and the world was taken over by "New Moon" mania. Thanks to all these memorable moments, we wanted to a look back at our four favorite moments from MTV News' photo collection, "2009: The Year in Photos."

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson got close and cuddly over the summer up in Vancouver while shooting "Eclipse," and their tender moment at a Kings of Leon concert took the world -- and the tabloids -- by storm with speculation. Though they still have not admitted to a relationship, we at least know Kristen Stewart is not a lesbian.

Now, I'mma let you finish, but Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the VMAs was one of the top WTF moments to happen this year. Really, words don't do justice for Kanye ruining the priceless moment for the country singer, so you can check out the video right here.

It was quite the uproar in the USA when teen queen Miley Cyrus took to the stage at the Teen Choice Awards to perform her new song "Party In The U.S.A." She had the crowd and the viewers at home cheering -- that is until it seemed parents and other naysayers reviewed the footage over and over again. Many deemed her moves on top of a mock ice cream cart to be similar to that of a stripper on a pole. We kind of like to think of this moment as similar to an optical illusion: it all depends on how you view it.

Literally "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" this past year meant marking down plenty of appointments in our date books. First, when Khloe and Kourtney took Miami, we learned that Kourt gained a tan and a child with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Scott Disick. (Don't miss the first photos of their newborn son, Mason Dash Disick, who was born on Dec 14.) Then, what seemed like one breath later, on Sept. 27, Khloe walked down the aisle with her boyfriend of nearly a month, Lakers player Lamar Odom. Kim, we have a feeling you're already gearing up to take back the headlines for yourself in 2010!
