The Evolution Of Megan Fox: Follow The 'Jennifer's Body' Actress' Career In Photos

Even if you’ve never seen one of her movies, you’ve heard of Megan Fox. Dropping men’s jaws worldwide with her breakout performance in 2007’s “Transformers,” Megan has gone on to become one of Hollywood’s most prominent sex symbols of this generation, and every publicist’s nightmare. Giving quotes in interviews like, “I resent having to prove that I'm not a retard," "Hollywood is the most superficial thing you could possibly be a part of and if I weren't attractive I wouldn't be working at all" and "If I ever lose a [film] role because of my tattoos, I'll quit Hollywood and go to work at Costco," Megan Fox is outspoken, hysterical and completely irresistible.

Megan got her first small role at age 16 in 2001’s movie “Holiday in the Sun,” but she wasn’t officially “discovered” until Michael Bay cast her in an uncredited role two years later in “Bad Boys II” that her luck as an actress started to change. At 18 years old, her character’s name was “Stars-and-Stripes Bikini Kid Dancing Under Waterfall,” and her life as a public sex symbol had begun.

Beyond bit roles in “What I Like About You,” “Two and a Half Men” and “The Help,” Megan’s next big break was in the Lindsay Lohan comedy “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.” When recently interviewed, Megan said of the film, “That was pre-nightmare. [Lindsay and I] didn't get along, but we were, like, 17, so of course we didn't get along. Girls are catty; they don't like each other.”

After “Confessions,” Megan became a regular on the ABC show “Hope & Faith,” which also starred Kelly Ripa. It was on the set of “Hope & Faith” that she met ex-fiance but on-again boyfriend Brian Austin Green. The show ran for three seasons and wrapped in 2006. The following year, Megan Fox became synonymous with “sex” as she became the onscreen object of Shia Labeouf’s affection in Michael Bay’s “Transformers.” It was a bit of a surprising casting to most, though Megan fit the billing of a “Transformers” star by being a huge fan of comic books, anime and video games.

She since starred in “How To Lose Friends and Alienate People” and was supposed to be in the film “Whore,” which suspiciously dropped out of sight, but “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” which made almost $500 million this summer, was what confirmed her blockbuster status.

Since 2007, her face has been everywhere. Megan has graced the covers of Maxim (twice), Cosmo, FHM, GQ, Esquire, Empire, Entertainment Weekly and ELLE. She has consistently been ranked on Hollywood’s hottest charts since her role in the first “Transformers,” causing Michael Bay to make the claim that “nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in ‘Transformers.’”

With her first leading role in the Diablo Cody-penned “Jennifer’s Body” about to hit theaters on September 18 and co-starring with Josh Brolin in 2010’s “Jonah Hex,” Megan is finally about to branch out from her “Transformers” fame. Though she is no Hollywood starlet with her numerous tattoos, admitted bisexuality and potty mouth, she somehow still manages not to be a party girl -- making the 23-year-old a refreshing take on the spin-machine that is Hollywood. Though the boys love her (despite their recent Megan Fox-less day) and the girls love to hate her, we’ve only got one thing to say about Megan Fox: God bless you.
