Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen Get Invited Into The CFDA For Their Lines The Row & Elizabeth And James

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were two of the 31 new fashion designers invited into the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America last night for their fashion lines "The Row" and "Elizabeth and James." Both lines embody the young starlets' bohemian-chic look and capture their unique taste. The Row line is named after Saville Row, a shopping street in London, and consists of custom-made luxe clothing with most pieces consisting of darker colors and fur. Elizabeth and James, however, is named after their younger siblings and has more of a hip contemporary look.

The "Full House" duo were invited into the CDFA by the group’s President -- and "Hills" guest star -- Diane Von Furstenberg. The CFDA is a not-for-profit trade association, which consists of of more than 350 of America’s foremost fashion and accessory designers.

Along with the famous sisters, other designers invited into the CFDA this year include Alexander Wang, Erin Fetherston and Marcella and Johan Lindeberg who design for Justin Timberlake's label, William Rast. Surprisingly, when we browsed the entire list of CFDA members it appeared that the Olsen's and Sean "Diddy" Combs were the only ones among the group who had careers in the entertainment industry before displaying their talent in the fashion world.

The new group of inductees witll be honored on October 21 during a reception at the Four Seasons in NYC.

What do you think of this accomplisment for Mary Kate and Ashley? What other designers deserve to be invited to the CFDA?
