Zac Efron Gets Thrilled For A New Movie Role

Efron surprised many when he dropped out of "Footloose", but he's eager to take on more mature roles, and making good progress by joining projects such as "The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud." According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zac is continuing his movie maturation by landing the lead part in an untitled thriller.

The film and its plot are being kept under tight wraps and is only being described as "a sexy thriller," but the script is being penned by Leslie Dixon. Not only does she have past history with Zac on "Hairspray," but she also wrote the 1999 remake of "The Thomas Crown Affair" which suggests just what kind of adult temptations Zac might be in for.

The film lacks a director, but the project is another first for the young actor, as not only he will be starring in the film, but he'll also be a major player behind the scenes. Zac is making his producing debut, and will be acting as one of the executive producers alongside Mandate Pictures' Nathan Kahane. Though the story and character details of the project might be a mystery, one thing is certain: Zac Efron is no longer attending high school.

Are you excited to see Zac in an adult thriller? Does he have what it takes for sexy thrills?
