Miranda Lambert On Blake Shelton Divorce: 'Man, This Sucks Right Now'

The country star has finally opened up about her split.

Miranda Lambert has finally broken her silence about her split with husband Blake Shelton.

In a new cover interview with Cosmopolitan Magazine (via ET Online), Lambert spoke up about her feelings on her divorce from the fellow country star, saying that "marriage is tough business, and we gave it our best college try."

Lambert, who was married to Shelton for a little over four years, didn't seem to comment on the budding relationship between her ex and his "The Voice" co-star Gwen Stefani, but she did offer up some kind words about him.

"I had a great relationship with an amazing man, so I know what good is," she said. "I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted."

Of course, that doesn't mean she hasn't felt the sting of things and occasionally embodied some of the break-up spirit contained in her home genre of music.

"Some of that might mean nights on my porch crying, drinking whiskey, and going, 'Man, this sucks right now,'" she told Cosmo.

Blake and Miranda announced their decision to end their marriage in July, saying in a statement, "This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately."

The pair had been together since 2006, when they first started dating, and were married in 2011.
