You know what your Thursday needs? A sweet, sweet R&B slow jam. Listen, I know Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love to You" is a pretty aggressively ~seductive~ track to wedge into your work/school week, but just be glad I'm dispatching this toward the end of your day and not at 9 a.m. while you're finishing up your bagel and cream cheese. Also, it is EXTREMELY underrated in the universe of music video style. Since you likely don't remember this one off the top of your head, I'm breaking this #TBT down for you look by look.

Hey, remember when the Backstreet Boys were all lined up and glowing in pristine linens in an airplane hangar for their "I Want It That Way" video? Boyz II Men's above look predates that by five years. Fittingly for the early '90s, the dudes are working with bizarro, boxy-tailored pieces, and Wanya Morris in a jacket and trousers with a mismatched vest, and Michael McCary in a sleeveless vest with a Nehru collar. Also, some sort of cane and/or rain stick. IDK what's up with that. I don't remember that being a trend then.

Let's also spotlight the accessories. Here, we have Nathan Morris delivering some rich baritone notes under a set of thin, gold-framed sunglasses—a look that's experiencing a resurgence in hip-hop fashion, largely thanks to that pretty m***********, A$AP Rocky's love of vintage Jean Paul Gaultier shades.

And then there's Shawn Stockman, who was apparently the Louis Tomlinson of Boyz II Men. Meaning he was the one they convinced to wear suspenders. Shawn, however, wears his with roomy, pleated slacks (GAH, #90s!!!), a ribbed under-tank, one of those weird puffy newsboy caps that was popular at the time, and an oversized shirt which he gingerly slides off for the lyric, "I'm gon' take my clothes off, too." I see what you did there, Shawn. Excellent use of wardrobe as prop. (Unlike McCary's cane...seriously WTF is he doing with that thing?)

WARDROBE CHANGE! Looks like the boyz finally made it into that gated residence they were singing in front of and decided to change their clothes for their new set. Belting on the steps of a gold-banistered split staircase, Shawn, Wanya, Nathan, and Michael are now all sporting matching white golf shorts with IMMACULATE white sneakers and socks and different but still coordinated pastel striped oxford shirts. If I had to bet, these are probably Ralph Lauren, with low odds that they might be L.L. Bean. Wanya and Michael chose to go completely unbuttoned and untucked, while Shawn and Nathan chose a cleaner silhouette.

You know what THIS is??? Pre-"Creep" silk pajamas. BOOM! *drops mic, comes back to watch your face* It's true. Who knows whether this was a source of inspiration, but for your own edification, just know this happened. As romantic a visual as seeing the dudes in candlelight near a marble hot tub is, I do wish we had gotten some more movement out of these sleeper sets. Thankfully, "Creep" and its good lighting situation and wind machine did happen. *praying hands*

And then there's this staggered, color-blocked Nautica moment. What I wouldn't give to have each and every one of these windbreakers right now. Can you imagine that ish with a crop top and some tattered old boyfriend jeans? [Insert emoji with hearts for eyes.] Or with, like, a maxi dress version of a tennis sweater??? *mind EXPLODES* IDK if that even exists, but it really should, so I can wear it with a gold body chain and pretend I'm Rihanna vacationing at Martha's Vineyard. *hair flip*
