Britney Spears, Allison Williams, And More Are Best Dressed At The 2014 People’s Choice Awards

Much like the government (according to the Gettysburg Address), the People’s Choice Awards are of the people, by the people [and] for the people. They also officially kick off awards show season, aka that time of year when gawking at pretty dresses gets us through the cruel winter. From television and movie stars to daytime talk- and game-show hosts, all of Hollywood did one thing really well with their outfits at this year’s PCAs: They reminded us that below-freezing temperatures didn’t affect California. Oh, and also, that neutrals are trending. Wanna know who did it best? Check out our favorite looks from the 2014 People’s Choice Awards below!

Las Vegas looks good on Britney, y’all! The Princess of Pop took a break from her two-year residency at Planet Hollywood to make an appearance (and accept her first PCA!) in a Mikael D pre-Fall 2013 dress covered with silver rose appliqué detailing. Ms. Spears accessorized with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, a Kotur bag, and Broken English jewelry. Very fun, but also mature.

Girls star Allison Williams consistently kills it on the red carpet, and last night was no exception. Williams wore a perfectly fitted, royal-blue David Koma Spring 2014 midi-dress with white leather looming and a semi-perforated belt. Her Christian Louboutin slingbacks were a triple threat in neutrals with white, beige, and black paneling, and she opted to keep her hair simple (because those caged cut-outs were like an optical illusion from afar) with a messy low ponytail and loose bangs.

YAAS, Jennifer Hudson! That dress looks like it was SEWN ON YOU, girl. Hudson wore a white, long-sleeved KaufmanFranco dress with shape-celebrating side-ruching to this year’s PCAs, and she worked the minimalistic look from head to toe.
She styled her sleek pixie with a demure front wave, rocked the MOST amazing pink lipstick we’ve seen in a minute, and accessorized with a few delicate rings, a chunky cuff, and tie-up sandals.

Naya Rivera at the 2014 People’s Choice Awards.

Glee’s Naya Rivera was another neutral favorite in a color-blocked Michael Kors gown that would have actually looked really cute with Allison Williams’ shoes. (You guys should call each other.) Naya instead went with some equally stunning nude Stuart Weitzman heels, wore a badass gold vintage collar necklace, and carried a Kotur clutch. But let’s be real: Who needs any accessories when you’ve got an engagement ring from Big Sean on your finger?

Lucy Hale looked like a Pretty Little Liar Flower in her asymmetrical, single-shoulder Gabriela Cadena dress. Her sparkly black clutch complemented the sequined details on her dress, but it was the neon shades of pink and blue that really made her pop.

If Teen Wolf alumna Adelaide Kane had told us she had skated straight off the ice and onto the red carpet, we probably would have believed her. (As long as she could then successfully execute a triple salchow.) Kane looked elegant in a beautiful lace corset dress by Rhea Costa, strappy white Brian Atwood shoes to match, and an emerald Helmer clutch. A style slam dunk.
