Kanye West Talks Dinner With Anna Wintour And More In 'Theraflu'

Looks like Nicki Minaj isn't the only one name-dropping Vogue EIC Anna Wintour. On "Theraflu" a track produced in conjunction with DJ Khaled, Kanye West raps about sitting down for a meal with the bobbed lady among other deliciously fashion-y tidbits. Eyebrows are raising about Ye's heavy-handed dish about Kim Kardashian, Amber Rose, and Wiz Khalifa (followed by a Kim x Kanye movie date HMMMMmmmm *knowingly strokes thinking beard*), but here at MTV Style, we have other priorities. Thus, we're breaking down all the fash-related lyrics in last night's premiere track.
"Tell PETA my mink is draggin’ on the floor" - Well, we defintely expect PETA to kick up some dirt about this line, but given all the Kardashian talk and PETA reportedly offering to pay for her flour-bomber's legal fees, we can't help but wonder if this is also a Kim-related lyric.
"Dinner with Anna Wintour, racin’ wit’ Anja Rubik" - We say to this dinner, "PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN." Even though we have every faith that Yeezy and Anna sat down for a meal and chinwag about the latest underground trend summit, selfishly, we also just want to see the photographic evidence of such an event. The racing with model Anja is most likely referring to those go-karts at Kanye's most recent Paris Fashion Week show.
"In the projects one day to Project Runway" - Awwwwwwww, well, this is just adorable. *flicks away single happy-proud tear*
"Six thousand-dollar pair of shoes, we made it to the Paris news!" - Of course, this is referring to those extravagantly priced Giuseppe Zanotti collaborations from Kanye's very first collection. We're still scraping together our hoarded lunch money for a pair to share in the office.
"Don’t talk to me ‘bout style, n****, I’ll m******* embarrass you / Talkin’ ‘bout clothes, I’ll m******* embarrass you" - Expletives aside, Yeezy has a point. I mean, the man is consistently at the top of our mental Best Dressed Dudes list, and from t-shirt skirts and leather pants to women's blouses, he's always looking fly.
