Every October, we are faced with a deluge of pink products, a reference to the pink ribbon which is the official symbol of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Over the years, we've collected stacks of fuchsia rubber bracelets, rosy-hued slogan T-shirts and yes, even a plastic umbrella in a lovely salmon hue (hey, we'd never say no to shopping for a good cause). But leave it to Fergie to come out with something ridiculously fabulous and fashionable in support of Breast Cancer Awareness—a limited edition 4-inch Fergie Footwear 'Awareness' heel that's fuchsia pink and sparkly all over.
The Black Eyed Peas singer wore her own design, available now at Fergie Shoes, to the I Heart Radio concert in Las Vegas. Despite her affinity for skin-baring dresses and futuristic get-ups, Fergie downplayed her outfit to keep the focus squarely on those hot pink pumps, wearing a cropped yellow sweater and a leather pencil skirt that, by Fergalicious standards, is pretty demure. As an added bonus, Fergie Shoes and Brown Shoe Company are donating $20,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Thank you, Fergie, for proving that fashion isn't always frivolous (though sometimes it is and we love it just the same).
