MTV Style Best Of 2010: Most Outrageous Outfits
Each day, through New Year's Eve, we'll bring you a list featuring some of the most unforgettable looks of 2010.
For every outfit that has wowed us this year, there has been one that made us say (out loud), "WTF?!?!" But, we've come to realize that without brazen stars bold enough to push the style limits in wacky getups, there would be no driving force behind our favorite trends. If Ke$ha had never worn head-to-toe neon paint to the MTV EMA (and every place else), we'd probably not have felt as comfortable to rock the trendy bright pink lip look. So, as crazy as they look, we are thankful for these stars and their absolutely insane ensembles.
KE$HA: It has always been about glitter and body paint for singer Ke$ha (oh...and trash bags, too). At the MTV EMA where she got the award for Best New Artist, she wore a neon green leotard covered with large glitter specks and streaks of body paint from her forehead to her ankles, proving that you can wear them both at the same time.

LADY GAGA: Oh, the infamous Franc Fernandez–designed raw meat dress! Turns out the rare outfit Lady Gaga wore to the MTV Video Music Awards wasn't her first in 2010. She covered the October issue of Vogue Hommes Japan in an itty-bitty beef bikini.

TAYLOR MOMSEN: As if Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen's raccoon eyes and stripper-esque aren't wild enough...the Pretty Reckless frontwoman was spotted on multiple occasions (poor footsies) wearing seven-inch lucite tip jar sandals designed by Pleaser.

KATY PERRY: For her "California Gurls" video, singer Katy Perry wore "daisy dukes, bikinis on top, sun-kissed skin"...and a whip cream spraying bra?! Yep, and the whole look was "unforgettable."

M.I.A.: There's no denying that M.I.A.'s colorful burka, which was emblazoned with an image of her Maya album cover, was a controversial style selection to wear on the red carpet for Spike TV's Scream 2010 Awards show. But this, from the same British rapper/singer who has also worn neon blue wigs and googly eye glasses (at the same time), shouldn't come as a surprise.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA: Singer Christina Aguilera's MTV Movie Awards outfit included a sparkly bodice teamed with thigh-high boots and long fingerless gloves. The look seemed tame enough...that was until she started performing and the heart over her vajayjay started lighting up.

LEIGHTON MEESTER: Here's the proof we were looking for showing that Leighton Meester can look hot in anything, even a potato sack—or a butt-revealing Marchesa jumpsuit. The Gossip Girl wore the lacy, off-shouldered number to the Harry Winston Court of Jewels Recreation launch in New York City, teaming it with a Marchesa sphere handbag and Nicholas Kirkwood heels.

NICKI MINAJ: The two-faced suit that Nick Minaj wore during her Hot 97's Thanksgiving Concert still makes us blush. The front of the outfit (designed by The Blonds) looked like a normal black silk suit, and the back was a nude bejeweled bodysuit.

RIHANNA: We're secretly sad that Rihanna has sworn off shoulder pads, because that means we won't see more garments like the pointy-shouldered, cleavage-showing green Alexandre Vauthier jumpsuit she wore for the Echo Awards in March.

MILEY CYRUS: Miley Cyrus strayed far, far, FAR away from her Hannah Montana persona while performing at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Canada. The singer/actress went for a scantily clad look, wearing leather short shorts, a cutout fishnet leotard, a rolled bandanna, and striped calf socks with booties.
