Jennifer Lawrence Calls First Sex Scene With Chris Pratt The Most 'Vulnerable' Thing She's Ever Done

JLaw gets real about filming her first Hollywood sex scene.

At this point, it's pretty much common knowledge that filming a Hollywood sex scene is just about the unsexiest part of the job. Between the pretending, the intimacy and the unavoidable bodily reactions to getting down between the sheets, there is little doubt in our minds that getting intimate with a relative stranger -- or in Jennifer Lawrence's case, a married man -- has infinite potential for total awkwardness and unbelievable amount of vulnerability.

In the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter, Lawrence opened up about the debilitating anxiety she felt while she was filming her very first sex scene with married man Chris Pratt. "That was the most vulnerable I've ever been," she said.

Lawrence and Pratt are currently filming the sci-fi romance "Passengers," and while the rest of the Internet will be ecstatic to know that the two most charismatic actors in the biz are getting down and dirty together on the big screen, it was all sorts of awkward for JLaw.

"It was really bizarre," the 25-year-old actress said. "It was really weird." She was so stressed out over her onscreen love scene with Pratt that she decidedly needed a shot of liquid courage to get her through it.

"I got really, really drunk," Lawrence said. "But then that led to more anxiety when I got home because I was like, 'What have I done? I don’t know.' And he was married. And it was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach. And I knew it was my job, but I couldn't tell my stomach that."

"So I called my mom, and I was like, 'Will you just tell me it's OK?'" she added. "It was just very vulnerable... You want to do it real, you want everything to be real."

It's nice to see someone like Lawrence talk about her anxieties publicly. At face value, her life is pretty awesome: she's beautiful, talented and gets to share major screen time with the biggest movie stars on the planet. But that doesn't mean JLaw is the "Cool Girl" the media makes her out to be; she struggles with anxiety and deals with pressure just like everyone else.

TBH, that makes her even cooler in our books.
