2 Chainz's 'Netflix' Collaboration With Fergie Inspires...Sex Tape

By Sowmya Krishnamurthy

2 Chainz is known for lending his vocals to some of the hottest collaborations in the game, with star turns on Kanye West's "Mercy" and Nicki Minaj's "Beez in the Trap," so when it was time to cash in favors for his new album, B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time, Fergie stepped up to show her appreciation for what he'd done for her by hopping on the song, "Netflix."

“I did something for Fergie. She ended up calling me back, telling me she appreciated it and all that. Then when I started working on my album, I wanted to do something," Chainz said when he stopped by "Rap Fix Live" on Wednesday (September 11).

A song for a song was a fair trade to the artist formerly known as Tity Boi. For those wondering why Chainz didn't opt for the Queen of the Barbz when he needed female vocals, he explained that it was merely to offer fans something different than "Beez in the Trap."

"I had Nicki on my first album and that’s my girl and everything, but I just wanted to do something else," he said. "I’ve been a fan of Fergie and I kind of like called her up."

The rapper born Tauheed Epps already predicts that "Netflix" will be a huge hit. Why? "I know it was special just because of the title and me having the ambitions of one day putting a sex tape on Netflix,” he laughed.

Yes, that's right. The "Feds Watching" MC is planning on recording a sex tape to use as a financial cushion in the event that hip-hop doesn't pay the bills one day. Chainz said that he plans on recording a lot of footage, or "collages," in the event that he befalls hard times like going broke or becoming addicted to drugs.

“Yeah. That’s my thing. That's going to be my thing," he said. He won't release it until at least five years from now so don't bother revving up the Netflix queue quite yet. "I’m going to work on this sex tape for a year. I ain’t gonna put it out for like five years."

X-rated fare isn't 2 Chainz's only side hustle. The rapper recently previewed his Meal Time cookbook, which features an array of actual recipes to satisfy any palette.

"You're on the road and you're hungry. 2 Chainz has been there and now he's reaching into his deep, flavorful pockets to hook you up with the recipes you'll need for your time out on the road," the book reads. The book adds that "2 Chainz doesn't write down his music...feel free to freestyle your cooking."

A man of many talents.
