Kendrick Lamar’s star has been on the rise this year, as the Compton rapper has continued to collaborate with the likes of Dr. Dre, Pharrell Williams, Drake and J. Cole. His debut digital album Section.80 has been a critical success, and a worthy contender for the inevitable “Album Of The Year” discussion. “Rigamortus,” which finds the 24-year-old dropping breathless verses, is one of album’s standout tracks, and after giving fans a preview of the remix during an August show in New York, a full version featuring a new verse from Busta Rhymes has finally premiered.

The original track was already a tongue-twisting affair and for the remix, Busta Rhymes sprinkles on a bit of his own manic flow. Around the 2:47 mark, Bussa Bus follows K-Dot’s lead and delivers another strong feature in what has become a banner year for the veteran emcee. Busta freaks a bit on the flow he employed for Chris Brown’s smash hit “Look At Me Now” but tones it down before Kendrick picks up the slack on the back end and rocks out the hook.

Fans of Lamar and Busta will likely enjoy this collaboration between new and old school. With the ink still drying on Busta Rhymes’ new deal with Cash Money Records, there should be plenty double-time verses coming our way.
