Eminem And Lil Wayne To Play Joint Concert In Australia

Two of hip-hops biggest MCs are gearing up to join forces for a one time special event. The respective touring machines known as Eminem and Lil Wayne are reportedly set to hit Etihad Stadium on December 1. The superstar rappers will headline a six-hour slugfest, trading some of their most notable rhymes in front of the international audience.

"It's all very professional and there are no problems," promoter Paul Mr Dainty said of the event and any potential issues.

"We are in a different space with Eminem than we were 10 years ago. He's crossed over to the mainstream and become a pop-culture icon."

Both of the rappers have had their share of issues with the law in the past and resulted in the dueling MCs taking a path away from drugs and alcohol. Eminem's new take on his career has received rave reviews over his music and shows hes played, specifically over the last year including a stint at the annual Lollapalooza concert.

Lil Wayne has also been on a run of his own. The Young Money head is on his second leg of the highly touted "I Am Still Music II" tour, spending the majority of the past eight months on the road. Tunechi is expected to roar onto the Soundscan charts this week with his Carter IV album looking to post big numbers close to the one million mark.

For their Australia gig local rappers Hilltop Hoods will also perform with Eminem and Lil Wayne at the Docklands.
