Pusha T Addresses Consequence, Says Kanye Never Discussed Beef

Weeks back former G.O.O.D. Music MC Consequence announced his defection from the label citing a major fallout with one time friend Kanye West and his cousin and A Tribe Called Quest frontman Q-Tip. According to Cons, he had a number of issues with West that had been bubbling within the camp outside of the flashing lights. Adding more fuel to the fire, Cons promised to musically rake West over the coals and any other takers in the G.O.O.D. Music family.

Prior to his "I declare war" campaign, Consequence accused former labelmate Pusha T of biting some of his lines. Just last week Cons released what he promises will be the first of many salvos aimed at G.O.O.D. Music with the initial victim of his bars aimed at none other than the Virgina coke rapping lyricist Pusha T on the track “The Plagurist Society.”

"You keep f--kin' around but still don't hit / And that's why the motherf--king Clipse got clipped -- But still there's no Malice in my heart / For these poor little wretched clowns that I'ma coast through -- He ain't nothin' but a body shield for the coward from the Midwest / So yes, you can bet / That your boss is next."

For the most part Kanye's stable of MCs including CyHi The Prynce, Big Sean and even Pusha remained quiet on Consequences disses. Until now.

While in Chicago performing on his Heineken Red Star Access tour, Pusha chopped it up with local radio station WGCI where he touched on Cons dis record.

"It's not internal because you have to be inside to be internal [conflict]," Pusha told radio station 107.5 WGCI’s The Morning Riot. "You're not inside. You know, it is what it is. Previously before, I've never answered this question because I've always felt like, me being the newest signee to G.O.O.D. Music, they have a history. Consequence, [Kanye West], those guys, they all have a history. It goes way before me. I never answered the question and I always thought it would blow over and people would be like, respectful. It doesn't make sense for me to answer it because I know Ye probably got love for dude. It goes back too far. Just to me, as it stands right now, it's funny because me and Ye have never talked about it. Not once. Never, not once. That in itself should tell you how serious it is.”

According to Pusha, the Clipse rapper made it clear that he has no plans to engage in a rap battle with Consequence, right after he took a light jab at the MC.

“It's really not -- It's not like a back and forth thing because it doesn't do anything for me.” said Pusha. “The stuff he does isn't good, to me. I don't think you've ever been checking for it. Nobody's ever checked for it -- I've never checked for it and I'm a fan of rap. People I don't like in rap, I like they music and I've never checked for him."
