The Second Season Of 'Mortal Kombat: Legacy' Launches All At Once... Now!
The launch of "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" Season two kicks off our coverage of new fights (and fighters) for the Machinima web series. Check out the first episode below. Later today, we'll bring you interviews with some of the stars and creators who've brought the battle for Earthrealm to your PC.
1:30 EST - Interview: Mark Dacascos (Kung Lao)
2:30 EST - Interview: Casper Van Dien (Johnny Cage)
4:30 EST - Interview: Director Kevin Tancharoen
Director Kevin Tancharoen returns for a second season of "Mortal Kombat: Legacy," introducing new combatants--er, kombatants--in the second round. The first episode kicks off with a drunken Liu Kang (Brian Tee, "The Wolverine") getting saved by fellow Shaolin monk Kung Lao (Mark Dacoscos, "The Brotherhood of the Wolf") in a seedy Macau bar. Limbs will be shattered and teeth unexpectedly removed as Liu Kang deals with some anger issues.
The first season of "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" provided a gritty reboot of the franchise for the small screen, reintroducing the various fighters and their motivations for getting wrapped up in the dimensions-spanning tournament. Season two adds Johnny Cage (Casper Van Dien) as one of the many fighters Raiden, with Cary Tagawa returning as Shang Tsung, a role he first played in the 1995 film.
