It's been a little while since Ubisoft picked up "South Park: The Stick of Truth" in the midst of the dissolution of THQ. The RPG developed by "Fallout: New Vegas" studio Obsidian Entertainment has mostly gone radio silent as the publisher continued to tout a 2013 release date for the RPG.

For whatever reason, the game needed a protracted "analysis" phase by its new owners, but now we've finally got a 2013 release date: December 10th, 2013 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

From the official synopsis:

Arm yourself with weapons of legend to defeat underpants gnomes, hippies and other forces of evil. Discover the lost Stick of Truth and earn your place at the side of Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny as their new friend. Succeed, and you shall be South Park’s savior, cementing your social status in South Park Elementary. Fail, and you will forever be known… as a loser.

Along with the release date announcement, Ubisoft also detailed "The Stick of Truth Grand Wizard Edition" for those of you willing to shell out a little extra for some in-game and real world bonuses. The $79.99 special edition will include:

Grand Wizard Kidrobot® Cartman Figure

Pose the Grand Wizard Cartman and his stick of authority with this six-inch replica figure from Kidrobot®. The Grand Wizard Cartman figure is not available in stores and can only be found in the Grand Wizard Edition.

Kingdom of South Park Map

The entire town of South Park has been charted, plotted, and mapped. Chronicle your own conquests with this one-of-a-kind piece of South Park history.

The Stick of Truth Ultimate Fellowship Pack

Unlock the ultimate fellowship! Included for free in the Grand Wizard edition.
