Art Attack at "Art of the Assassin"

"Allegience" By Max Neutra

Last night Ubisoft's Art ot the Assassin Exhibit, featuring tons of art inspired by the upcoming game, finally landed in New York after it's nation-spanning tour. I got a chance to attend and snap a few (somewhat blurry) photos of several fantastic show pieces. Check them out after the break.

In no particular order (they were all so cool!) is a taste of what to expect if you get a chance to visit art space, The Hole, over the weekend. If you're also in town for New York Comic Con, ,you can check out Assassin's Creed III on the convention floor.

"ACIII,2012" By Mark Dean Veca

"Stars & Stripes" By Joyce Lee

"Wanted" By Artek

"Ratohnhaké:ton" By Ariel Erestingcol

"Conner's Bow and Arrow" By Snyder

Above was just a small sample of the artistic awesomness. You can check out the full artist list and all the beautiful artwork at the official site!

Coinciding with the main event was a promotion for Rock the Vote where a cool photbooth was set up for attendees to play dress up in Colonial gear and mug the camera for a few shots.

From the press release:

San Francisco October 2, 2012 — Video game publisher Ubisoft® and Rock the Vote announced today the “Art of the Assassin” traveling exhibit, featuring inspired artwork from top contemporary artists, will debut in New York City on Wednesday, October 10. The “Art of the Assassin” will be showcased at The Hole (theholenyc.com) in New York’s SoHo neighborhood, home to world-renowned artists and galleries since the ’70s, from 6:00–7:30 pm. Following the “Art of the Assassin” exhibit, fans and newcomers alike can experience the Assassin’s Creed® III video game on the show floor at New York Comic Con from October 11–14.

Sharing Rock the Vote’s passion for art, “Art of the Assassin” is a traveling exhibit that showcases original Assassin’s Creed III-inspired works from some of today’s most distinguished contemporary artists. The nationwide tour premiered in Los Angeles in August with works by Ariel Erestingcol, Artek, DualForces, Justin Bartlett, Mark Dean Veca, Racecar 13, Dora Drimalas, Thank You X and Brian Flynn. The tour concludes at the end of October with an auction that gives consumers a chance to bid on these exclusive works, with proceeds going directly to Rock the Vote.

I even got a chance to do a little light cosplaying!

Assassin's Creed III launches October 30 for PS3 and Xbox 360, November 18 for Wii U, and November 20 for PC
