'Diablo 3' Skills Guide For The Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor And Wizard

We've got good news and bad news regarding the status of your "Diablo 3" beta invite. The bad news is that you probably don't have it yet because, if you did, you'd likely be playing instead of reading this post. The good news is that your invite may just come any day now, as Blizzard is already well into public testing and they seem to be adding more players by the day. If it makes you feel any better, I'm still not one of them, so we're in the same boat.

To make your wait a bit less painful, we've compiled the skills list for all five classes in "Diablo 3," including the Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor and Wizard. Sure, reading isn't as good as playing, but when you alternative is solitaire, you make the best with what you've got.

FURY GENERATOR TREE

BASH (Requires level 1)

Generate 6 Fury per attack

Brutally smash an enemy for 145% weapon damage and a 20% chance to knock the enemy back.

CLEAVE (Requires level 4)

Generate 4 Fury per attack

Swing in a wide arc to deal 120% weapon damage to the targeted enemy and 60% weapon damage to any other enemies caught in the swing.

LEAP ATTACK (Requires level 6)

Generate 15 Fury per attack, Cooldown 10 seconds

Leap into the air, dealing 40% weapon damage to all enemies within 8 yards of your destination. Only generates fury if you hit an enemy.

GROUND STOMP (Requires level 8)

Generate 15 Fury per attack, Cooldown 12 seconds

Shake the ground to inflict 30% weapon damage to all enemies within 12 yards and stun them for 3 seconds. only generates Fury if you hit an enemy.

FRENZY (Requires level 11)

Generate 3 Fury per attack

Swing for 80% damage. Each swing increases attack speed of Frenzy by 15% for 4 seconds. The effect can stack up to 5 times for a total bonus of 75% attack speed.

WAR CRY (Requires level 14)

Generates 30 Fury per attack, Cooldown 30 seconds

Unleash a rallying cry to increase the armor of you and all allies within 30 yards by 100% for 60 seconds.

FURIOUS CHARGE (Requires level 16)

Generates 15 Fury per attack, Cooldown 10 seconds

Rush forward knocking back enemies and inflicting 60% weapon damage to enemies at the destination and 30% damage to enemies along the path of the charge. Only generates Fury if you hit an enemy.

ANCIENT SPEAR (Requires level 22)

Generates 15 Fury per attack, Cooldown 10 seconds

Throw a spear up to 45 yards to pull an enemy back to you, slowing target's movement by 50% and dealing 55% weapon damage.

FURY SPENDER TREE

THREATENING SHOUT (Requires level 1)

Cost: 20 Fury

Shout with great ferocity, reducing damage done by enemies within 25 yards by 50% for 15 seconds.

HAMMER OF THE ANCIENTS (Requires level 2)

Cost: 20 Fury

Call forth a massive hammer to smash enemies directly in front of you for 180% weapon damage. Hammer of the Ancients has a 15% increased chance to critical hit.

BATTLE RAGE (Requires level 3)

Cost: 20 Fury

Enter a rage which increases damage by 30% and critical hit chance by 4% for 30 seconds.

WEAPON THROW (Requires level 7)

Cost: 20 Fury

Hurl a throwing weapon at an enemy for 210% weapon damage and slowing the movement of the enemy by 70% for 4 seconds.

REND (Requires level 9)

Cost: 20 Fury

Perform a vicious strike to all enemies within 9 yards, dealing 60% weapon damage every second for 3 seconds.

SEISMIC SLAM (Requires level 19)

Cost: 30 Fury

Slam the ground to cause a wave of destruction that deals 215% weapon damage and knockback to targets in a 45 yard arc.

SPRINT (Requires level 24)

Cost: 20 Fury

Increase movement speed by 40% for 6 seconds.

WHIRLWIND (Requires level 27)

Deliver multiple attacks to everything in your path for 44% weapon damage every 0.40 seconds.

SITUATIONAL TREE

IGNORE PAIN (Requires level 5)

Cooldown: 60 seconds

Reduces all damage taken by 65% for 5 seconds.

REVENGE (Requires level 12)

Inflict 150% weapon damage to all enemies within 8 yards and gain 5.0% Life for each enemy hit. Revenge has a 10% chance to becom active for a short time each time you are hit by an attack.

OVERPOWER (Requires level 18)

Press the advantage of a powerful attack to overwhelm the enemy for 150% weapon damage to all targets within 9 yards. Overpower becomes available whenever you make a critical hit against an enemy.

EARTHQUAKE (Requires level 21)

Cost: 75 Fury, Cooldown 120 seconds

Shake the ground violently dealing 240% weapon damage followed by an additional 150% weapon damage per second for 8 seconds to all enemies within 15 yards.

CALL OF THE ANCIENTS (Requires level 25)

Cost: 75 Fury, Cooldown 120 seconds

Summon the ancient Barbarians Talic, Korlic and Madawc to inflict 100% weapon damage with each attack as they join the battle for 15 seconds.

WRATH OF THE BERSERKER (Requires level 29)

Cost: 75 Fury, Cooldown 120 seconds

Enter a berserker rage which raises several attributes for 15 seconds.

Critical Hit: 10%

Attack Speed: 45%

Dodge Chance: 20%

OFFENSE TREE

HUNGERING ARROW (Requires level 1)

Cost: 15 Hatred

Fire a magically imbued arrow that seeks out targets for 140% weapon damage and has a chance to pierce through targets.

ENTANGLING SHOT (Requires level 2)

Cost: 15 Hatred

Release a sticky adhesive that deals 130% weapon damage and entangles up to 2 enemies, slowing their movement by 70% for 2 seconds.

EVASIVE FIRE (Requires level 3)

Cost: 5 Hatred to shoot an additional 4 Discipline if you backflip.

Shoot for 135% of weapon damage. If an enemy is at close range, you will also backflip away 15 yards.

FAN OF KNIVES (Requires level 4)

Cost: 10 Hatred

Throw knives out in a spiral around you, doing 18-25 physical damage to all enemies within 10 yards of you. Your knives will also slow the movement of enemies by 65% for 4 seconds.

BOLA SHOT (Requires level 5)

Cost: 20 Hatred

Shoot out an explosive bola that wraps itself around its target. After 1 second, the bola explodes dealing 120% weapon damage as Fire to the target and an additional 90% weapon damage as Fire damage to all other targets within 7 yards.

GRENADES (Requires level 7)

Cost: 30 Hatred

Throw out three grenades that explode for 53-89 Fire damage.

CHAKRAM (Requires level 9)

Cost: 25 Hatred

Fire a swirling Chakram that does 75-103 physical damage to enemies along its path.

IMPALE (Requires level 11)

Cost: 20 Hatred

Fire a massive shot to impale a target for 220% weapon damage.

SPIKE TRAP (Requires level 14)

Cost: 20 Hatred

Lay a trap that arms after 0.8 seconds and triggers when an enemy approaches. The trap does 57-71 physical damage to all enemies within 8 yards. You can have a maximum of 3 Spike Traps active at one time.

ELEMENTAL ARROW (Requires level 18)

Cost: 25 Hatred

Shoot an elemental charged arrow that deals 100% weapon damage as Fire damage to all targets it passes through.

MULTISHOT (Requires level 21)

Cost: 30 Hatred

Fire a massive volley of arrows dealing 110% weapon damage to all enemies in the area.

CLUSTER ARROW (Requires level 23)

Cost: 35 Hatred

Fire a Cluster grenade that explodes for 120% weapon damage into a series of additional miniature bombs that explode for 40% weapon damage each.

RAPID FIRE (Requires level 24)

Cost: 20 Hatred per second

Rapidly fire at 6 times your normal attack speed, dealing 30% weapon damage with every shot.

STRAFE (Requires level 27)

Cost: 20 Hatred per second

Shoot 3 times per second at random nearby enemies while moving at 55% of normal movement speed. Every shot deals 60% of weapon damage.

RAIN OF VENGEANCE (Requires level 29)

Cooldown: 60 seconds

Fire a massive volley of arrows around you. Arrows fall from the sky for 5 seconds dealing an average of 105% weapon damage per second.

DISCIPLINE TREE

CALTROPS (Requires level 1)

Cost: 8 Discipline

Lay a trap of caltrops on the ground that activates when an enemy approaches. Once spring, the caltrops slow the movement of enemies within 12 yards by 65%. This trap lasts for 12 seconds.

VAULT (Requires level 6)

Cost: 10 Discipline

Tumble acrobatically 35 yards.

MARKED FOR DEATH (Requires level 8)

Cost: 6 Discipline

Marks an enemy. The marked enemy will take 20% additional damage for the next 30 seconds.

SMOKE SCREEN (Requires level 12)

Cost: 15 Discipline

Vanish behind a wall of smoke, becoming momentarily invisible for 2 seconds.

COMPANION (Requires level 16)

Cost: 10 Discipline

Summon a raven companion. Your raven companion will periodically peck at enemies for 21-28 damage.

SHADOW POWER (Requires level 19)

Cost: 20 Discipline

Draw in the power of the shadows, increasing attack speed by 50% for 10 seconds.

SENTRY (Requires level 22)

Cost: 10 Discipline

Drop a turret on the ground. The turret begins firing at nearby enemies for 40% of weapon damage. Lasts 20 seconds.

FISTS OF THUNDER (level 1)

Generate 6 Spirit per attack

Deal a series of extremely fast punches that deal 100% weapon damage as Lightning damage. Every third hit deals damage to all enemies in front of you. Each strike has a 15% chance to interrupt enemy attacks.

DEADLY REACH (level 4)

Generate 6 Spirit per attack

Project lines of pure force over a short distance for 125% weapon damage. Every third hit extends out 25 yards.

CRIPPLING WAVE (level 8)

Generate 6 Spirit per attack

A series of large sweeping attacks that causes 100% weapon damage to all enemies in front of you. Every third hit damages all enemies around you and dazes them, slowing movement by 50% for 4.5 seconds.

EXPLODING PALM (level 12)

Generate 6 Spirit per attack

The first two strikes in the attack deal 100% weapon damage. The third strike causes the target to bleed for 65% of weapon damage per second for 3 seconds. If the target dies while bleeding, it explodes, dealing 40% of the targets maximum Life as physical damage to all other enemies nearby.

SWEEPING WIND (level 17)

Generate 6 Spirit per attack

Strike a target for 100% weapon damage. Every third hit creates a vortex of air that surrounds you. The vortex lasts for 5 seconds and deals 20% weapon damage per second to all enemies within 10 yards. This vortex effect can stack up to 3 times for a total of 60% weapon damage per second to nearby enemies.

WAY OF THE HUNDRED FISTS (level 21)

Generate 6 Spirit per attack

A rapid series of punches strikes enemies for 135% weapon damage.

SPIRIT SPENDER TREE

BLINDING FLASH (level 1)

Cost: 50 Spirit

Create a flash of light that blinds all enemies within 20 yards for 5 seconds. Blinded enemies have a 30% chance to miss with attacks and will not attack unless they are attacked first.

LASHING TAIL KICK (level 3)

Cost: 25 Spirit, Cooldown 3 seconds

Unleash a deadly roundhouse kick, knocking enemies back and dealing 130% weapon damage.

BREATH OF HEAVEN (level 5)

Cost: 75 Spirit

A blast of holy energy heals you and all allies within 12 yards for 4790-6387 Life.

DASHING STRIKE (level 6)

Cost: 10 Spirit

Dash quickly at the targeted enemy or location, dealing 50% weapon damage.

LETHAL DECOY (level 7)

Cost: 75 Spirit

Create an illusion of pure holy energy that attracts enemies to itself and explodes after 5 seconds for 43-78 Holy damage.

INNER SACTUARY (level 11)

Cost: 80 Spirit

Create a circle of protection on the ground for 8 seconds that cannot be passed by enemies.

TEMPEST RUSH (level 16)

Cost: 3 Spirit plus an additional 12 Spirit per second.

Run directly through your enemies knocking them back and hobbling them, slowing their movement by 50% for 3 seconds. Also deals 75% of weapon damage per second while running.

SERENITY (level 18)

Cost: 35 Spirit, Cooldown 60 seconds

You are enveloped in a protective shield that intercepts all incoming damage for 3 seconds and grants immunity to all control impairing effects.

SEVEN SIDED STRIKE (level 24)

Cost: 50 Spirit, Cooldown 30 seconds

Dash rapidly between many nearby enemies 7 times striking for 130% weapon damage with every hit.

MYSTIC ALLY (level 27)

Cost: 50 Spirit

Summon an elemental ally capable of engaging enemies in combat until it is destroyed. The ally deals 21-36 physical damage per swing.

WAVE OF LIGHT (level 29)

Cost: 50 Spirit, Cooldown 15 seconds

Focuses the power of Light to smite all enemies in front of you for 57-85 Holy damage followed by an additional 36-57 Holy damage to all enemies in a line.

MANTRAS TREE

MATRA OF EVASION (level 2)

Cooldown: 30 seconds

Recite a Mantra that grants you and all allies within 40 yards a 30% chance to dodge attacks. Lasts 120 seconds. You can only have 1 Mantra active at a time.

MANTRA OF RETRIBUTION (level 9)

Cooldown: 30 seconds

Recite a Mantra that causes you and all allies within 40 yards to reflect melee damage back at enemies, dealing Holy damage equal to 40% of damage sustained. Lasts 120 seconds. You can only have 1 Mantra active at a time.

MANTRA OF HEALING (level 14)

Cooldown: 30 seconds

Recite a Mantra that causes you and all allies within 40 yards to gain increased Life regeneration by 106.4 Life per second. Lasts 120 seconds. You can only have 1 Mantra active at a time.

Call forth a reckless, suicidal zombie that deals 71-99 Poison damage to all enemies in its way.

CORPSE SPIDERS (level 7)

Cost: 282 Mana

Summon 4 spiders to attack nearby enemies for 7-21 physical damage.

FIREBATS (level 9)

Cost: 352 Mana per second

A swarm of fiery bats burn enemies in front of you for 57-85 Fire damage per second.

FIREBOMB (level 11)

Cost: 264 Mana

Lob an explosive skull that deals 64-78 Fire damage to all enemies within 8 yards.

LOCUST SWARM (level 19)

Cost: 352 Mana

Summon a plague of locusts to assault enemies, dealing 25 Poision damage per second for 3 seconds. The locusts will jump to additional nearby targets.

ACID CLOUD (level 22)

Cost: 528 Mana

Acid falls down dealing an initial 57-78 Poison damage followed by 14 Poison damage per second to enemies who remain in the area.

WALL OF ZOMBIES (level 27)

Cost: 352 Mana

A line of zombies emerge from the ground, attacking nearby enemies for 21-36 physical damage per second for 5 seconds.

SPIRIT REALM TREE

HAUNT (level 4)

Cost: 106 Mana

Haunt an enemy with a spirit dealing 355 Arcade damage over 17 seconds. If the target dies, the spirit will automatically haunt another nearby enemy. You can have up to 3 Haunt effects active at once.

HORRIFY (level 8)

Cooldown: 20 seconds

Don a spectral mask that horrifies all enemies within 12 yards, causing them to run in fear for 5 seconds.

SPIRIT WALK (level 12)

Cost: 176 Mana, Cooldown 15 seconds

Enter the spirit realm for 3 seconds. While in the spirit realm, your movement is unhindered. Your link to the spirit realm will end if you cast any spell or your physical body sustains 50% of your maximum health in damage.

SOUL HARVEST (level 14)

Cooldown 15 seconds

Feed on the life force of up to 5 nearby enemies within 15 yards. Gain 126 Attack for each affected enemies. This effect lasts for 30 seconds.

SPIRIT BARRAGE (level 21)

Cost: 141 Mana

Bombard a target with a spirit bolt that deals 36-71 physical damage.

MASS CONFUSION (level 24)

Cooldown: 60 seconds

Incite paranoia in enemies, causing some to fight you for 8 seconds.

SUPPORT TREE

SUMMON ZOMBIE DOGS (level 1)

Cost: 176 Mana, Cooldown 60 seconds

Summon 3 zombie dogs from the depths to fight by your side.

GRASP OF THE DEAD (level 3)

Cost: 53 Mana, Cooldown 8 seconds

Hands reach out from the ground slowing enemy movement by 50% and dealing 21 physical damage per second for 8 seconds.

HEX (level 6)

Cost: 176 Mana, Cooldown 10 seconds

Summon a Fetish Shaman for 8 seconds that will hex enemies into chickens. Hexed enemies are unable to perform offensive actions and take 20% additional damage.

SACRIFICE (level 16)

All of your zombie dogs explode, each dealing 107-178 physical damage to all enemies within 12 yards.

GARGANTUAN (level 18)

Cost: 528 Mana, Cooldown 120 seconds

Summon a large zombie follower to fight for you. The gargantuan swings for 18-25 physical damage with every swing.

BIG BAD VOODOO (level 25)

Cooldown: 120 seconds

Summon a fetish to begin a ritual dance that increases the attac, casting and movement speeds of all allies in the area by 15% for 20 seconds.

FETISH ARMY (level 29)

Cooldown 120 seconds

Summon an army of Fetish creatures to fight by your side for 20 seconds. Dagger-wielding fetishes attack for 14-25 physical damage.

Launch a missile of magic energy causing 40-61 Arcane damage.

SHOCK PULSE (level 3)

Release a pulse of 3 unpredictable charges of electricity that deal 36-72 Lightning damage to enemies they hit.

SPECTRAL BLADE (level 5)

Summon a spectral blade that strikes all enemies in your path 3 times causing 35% weapon damage with each hit.

ELECTROCUTE (level 6)

Lightning arcs from your fingertips towards an enemy dealing 1-59 Lightning damage. The lightning can jump, hitting up to 2 enemies. Damage is reduced 30% for each jump.

OFFENSIVE TREE

WAVE OF FORCE (level 4)

Cost: 25 Arcane power, Cooldown 15 seconds

Explode a wave of pure energy that repels projectiles and knocks back nearby enemies. This also slows the movement of enemies by 50% and deals 92-107 physical damage to them.

ARCANE ORB (level 8)

Cost: 35 Arcane power

Hurl an orb of pure energy that explodes when it hits, dealing 135-185 Arcane damage to all enemies within 10 yards.

ENERGY TWISTER (level 11)

Cost: 35 Arcane power

Unleash a twister of pure energy that deals 27 Arcane damage per second to everything caught within it.

DISINTEGRATE (level 12)

Cost: 20 Arcane Power per second

Thrust a beam of pure energy forward dealing 85-107 Arcane damage per second and disintegrating enemies it kills.

EXPLOSIVE BLAST (level 14)

Cost: 45 Arcane power, Cooldown 1 second

Gathehr an infusion of energy around you that explodes after 2 seconds, causing 99-135 physical damage to all nearby enemies.

HYDRA (level 19)

Cost: 60 Arcane power

Summon a multi-headed Hydra for 9 seconds that attacks enemies with bolts of fire dealing 18-22 Fire damage per attack.

RAY OF FROST (level 21)

Cost: 29 Arcane power per second

Project a beam of frozen ice that blasts 142-167 Cold damage per second to the first enemy it hits, slowing the target's movement by 40% and attack speed by 30% for 5 seconds.

ARCANE TORRENT (level 23)

Cost: 20 Arcane Power per second

Hurl a barrage of arcane projectiles that deal 107-181 Arcane damage per second to all enemies near the impact location.

METEOR (level 24)

Cost: 60 Arcane power

Summon an immense meteor that plummets from the sky causing 213-291 Fire damage to all enemies it crashes into. The ground it hits is scorched with molten fire that does 29-43 Fire damage over 3 seconds.

BLIZZARD (level 26)

Cost: 45 Arcane power

Call down shards of ice to pelt an area dealing 57-78 Cold damage per second for 3 seconds.

UTILITY TREE

FROST NOVA (level 1)

Cooldown: 12 seconds

An explosion of ice freezes nearby enemies for 4 seconds and causes 28-50 Cold damage.

ICE ARMOR (level 2)

Cost: 25 Arcane power

Surround yourself in a barrier of ice that increases armor by 50% and causes 7-9 Cold damage to melee attackers, chilling them for 2 seconds. Lasts 120 seconds. Only 1 Armor spell can be active at a time.

MAGIC WEAPON (level 7)

Cost: 8 Arcane power

Imbue your weapon with magical energy, granting it 20% increased physical damage. Can only affect melee weapons. Lasts 60 seconds.

DIAMOND SKIN (level 9)

Cooldown: 25 seconds

Transform your skin to diamond for 5 seconds, absorbing up to 2661 damage from incoming attacks.

STORM ARMOR (level 13)

Bathe yourself in electrical energy, shocking ranged and melee attackers for 1-61 Lightning damage. Lasts 120 seconds. Only one Armor spell can be active at a time.

MIRROR IMAGE (level 15)

Cooldown: 25 seconds

Summon 2 illusionary duplicates of yourself that last for 15 seconds and have 25% of your Life. The images may cast some of the same spells as you, but those spells deal no damage.

SLOW TIME (level 16)

Cooldown: 30 seconds

Invoke a bubble of warped time and space for 10 seconds, slowing the movement and attack speed of enemies by 35%. This bubble also slows the movement of enemy projectiles by 90%.

TELEPORT (level 18)

Cost: 15 Arcane power, Cooldown 16 seconds

Teleport through the ether to the selected location up to 35 yards away.

ENERGY ARMOR (level 22)

Focus your energies, increasing your Defense by 20% but lowers your maximum Arcane power by 20. Lasts 120 seconds. Only one Armor spell can be active at a time.

FAMILIAR (level 27)

Cost: 20 Arcane power

Summon a companion that will attack your targets for 5-9 Arcane damage. This companion cannot be targeted or damaged by enemies. Pete lasts 60 seconds.

ARCHON (level 29)

Cost: 25 Arcane power, Cooldown 120 seconds

Transform into a being of pure arcane energy for 15 seconds. Whiile in Archon form your normal abilities are replaced by powerful Archon abilities and your armor and resistances are increased by 40%. Every enemy killed while in Archon form adds 1 second to the duration of Archon.
