'Portal 2' DLC Still Coming, Planned For September

If it seems like months ago Valve promised the world that free "Portal 2" DLC was coming this summer, that's because it was. Yes, it was back in April when Valve sent word of the first "Portal 2" DLC pack, but since then we haven't heard a peep. Meanwhile, summer is dwindling and memories of P-Body and Atlas are slowly fading into obscurity. Is "Portal 2" DLC going the way of "Half-Life 3: Episode 3"? Not hardly! Valve is pegging the release for mid-September.

Valve's Doug Lombardi told Kotaku that the pack will be released next month, and is quick to remind that mid-September is still technically summer. Now if Valve comes in with a DLC pack on September 22 we can officially call them liars, but anytime before that, Ok, they stuck to their word.

Whenever it actually gets released, it's hard to imagine any complaints, given that the pack is completely free to those who already own the game. Included in the first DLC pack will be new co-op maps, challenge levels and leaderboard support, for all your speed-run freaks out there.
