Music artists and celebrities such as Jack Black, Tony Hawk and My Chemical Romance want to help you rock out in style and, in doing so, perform a genuinely charitable act in the process.

Each of the more than 20 luminaries designed and customized a guitar control for the PS2 rhythm-based game Guitar Hero II. The completed pieces are on display right now in Texas (it's South by Southwest, you know), but will be put up for auction in early April, with the benefits going to the MusiCares charity.

Unfortunately, a site for the online auction has yet to be established, but if you check back (and if we're sober enough to remember), the information will be updated on this here blog.
