Who says the boys should get all the fun? If there's anything that's been noticeably lacking from the all-star line-up of "The Expendables" films, it's some butt-kicking leading ladies. Fortunately we're not the only ones to see this as a mistake, as "The Grey" producer Adi Shankar and his team at 1984 Private Defense Contractors are planning their own version of "The Expendables" starring women.

Variety reports that Shanker is "already in talks with several prominent actresses affiliated with the action genre," but who could they be? We put together our own lengthy wish list of women who would be great for the project, which you can read after the jump.

Linda Hamilton

At the time, Sarah Connor was the baddest girl around. Linda Hamilton proved to us in "The Terminator" films that women don't always need to be the damsels in distress, and can sometimes be even more badass than Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Gina Carano

You know you're a certified action star when Steven Soderbergh makes a movie just to show off your talents. Gina Carano is an up-and-coming actress on the Hollywood scene, and her muscular physique and background in martial arts make her a shoe-in for this movie.

Lucy Liu

Ever since "Charlie's Angels" was released back in 2000, Lucy Liu has been one of the best female action stars in the business. We love her best in "Kill Bill" and "Southland," and she definitely could add some credibility to this upcoming movie.

Halle Berry

When you're a Bond girl who gets to be an equal to James Bond and a superheroine who gets her own movie, you know you're doing something right. Halle Berry might be known best for her sex appeal, but she's got some action chops to go along with it.

Michelle Rodriguez

We're hard-pressed to find a movie or TV show Michelle Rodriguez starred in where she didn't play a badass. She and Carano both are in the same boat where they're known for their physicality and action prowess, and that's why we adore them.

Michelle Yeoh

Another Bond girl who was just as capable as 007, Michelle Yeoh has proved time and again that she's just as great a dramatic actress as she is a physical and action-oriented one. Plus she can also add some credibility to the film.

Milla Jovovich

From "The Fifth Element" to the "Resident Evil" movies, Milla Jovovich has proven that she is served best with a gun in her hand and a trail of defeated villains behind her. Maybe her husband, Paul W.S. Anderson, can even direct the project.

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie is probably the best-known and most successful action heroine working in Hollywood right now. It's a long shot to get her on board, but we feel like she would be up for it. After all, she's proven she can have fun in the genre with films like "Salt," "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" and the "Tomb Raider" movies.

Uma Thurman

In 2003's "Kill Bill: Vol. 1," Quentin Tarantino proved to us that we have no idea what ass-kicking women are capable of. Though his two "Kill Bill" films starred an array of awesome actresses (including Liu), the movies wouldn't have worked if Uma Thurman wasn't such an impressive badass.

Sigourney Weaver

She's Ellen Ripley. Let's just leave it at that.

And two for good luck: Chloe Moretz and Jennifer Lawrence

There needs to be at least one young actress in there who makes a sequel worth making.
