New 'Green Lantern' Trailer Hits And Will Ferrell Reprises George Bush In Today's Dailies

I know this is borrowing from a different comic book universe entirely, but… oh my stars and garters!

A new trailer for "Green Lantern" has braved brightest day and blackest night to be here today, and our pals over at Splash Page have the rundown on this latest glimpse at the Ryan Reynolds-starring DC Comics adaptation. Check out their expert analysis, but the short version: this looks awesome.

Falling into a "Trance"

Oscar-winning "Slumdog Millionaire" and "127 Hours" director Danny Boyle has decided upon "Trance" as his next project. The thriller, centered on an art heist gone wrong, heads before cameras in London this September.

Manning the "Samurai"

Variety reports that British director Scott Mann will direct the remake of Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai" for the Weinstein Company. The remake has an estimated $60 million budget and comes equipped with a script written by "Young Guns" scribe John Fusco. No shooting date has been set.

"Lincoln" Takes a Fall

After several years languishing in development hell, Steven Spielberg's long-awaited Abraham Lincoln biopic, starring Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis in the title role, is set to enter production this fall in Virginia, the Associated Press reports. The movie should arrived in theaters in 2012.

Megaton is "Taken," Too!

More good news for fans eagerly awaiting a "Taken" sequel: Variety reports that "Transporter 3" director Olivier Megaton has signed on to helm the Liam Neeson-starring thriller. Additionally, 20th Century Fox have struck a deal with EuropaCorps to distribute the film in North America and most overseas territories. Things are coming together, folks!
