We were nothing short of completely devastated when we learned that Rihanna was canceling her performance at the Victoria's Secret Fashion show this year. Word on the street was that she wanted to dedicate that time to her upcoming album, but regardless, her absence from the show was palpable.

Apparently Rihanna was well aware that she was missed and sent a note (sort of) apologizing for not being there. Attached to some balloons, she wrote, "Wish I was there with you guys. Kill it tonight. See you all next time. Love, Rihanna."

While Ellie Goulding replaced her at the last minute, and for that, we commend her, we still missed our girl RiRi. Until "next time," we'll just have to watch her performance from the show in 2012 on repeat.
