MTV's Original VJs Air Each Other's Dirty Laundry Amid New Book Release [Video]

VJs

MTV's original VJs gather on "Rachael Ray" to spill some of each other's secrets.

Reunions -- work, family or high school -- always include a good bit of gossip from way back when, but what if your dirtiest laundry centered on a love affair with an '80s rock star? How cool would you be then? VERY.

MTV's OG VJs, Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter and Martha Quinn, have been taking to the streets lately to promote a new book, "VJ: The Unplugged Adventures of MTV's First Wave," and this morning on "Rachael Ray," that meant Alan blabbing about a possible roll in the sack between Nina and John Mellencamp. How very "Hills" of him!

"That is not the story!" Nina fights back in this clip from the show, in which Mark also comes clean about the past, exposing his deep-seated jealousy of Martha, who was basically Bob Dylan's BFF during her heyday. (It's okay, Mark, we were ALL jealous of Martha.)

Interestingly enough, many of the secrets in the book were only discovered after the VJs read it -- an experience they described during a different appearance on "Today," which you can watch below.

The pop-culture tome essentially functions as a dishy firsthand account of disastrous interviews, scandalous hookups and the pressure to get wrapped up in the rock-and-roll lifestyle. Uhhh, beach read: ACCOUNTED FOR!

Check out the "Today" clip below, relive the VJs' first introduction to MTV in this throwback video and be sure to pick up a copy of the new book!
