THIS JUST IN FROM PARIS HILTON'S LIVE BFF 2 PRESS CONFERENCE ... "My BFF and I are no longer BFFs. [Brittany] has become my ex-BFF. She was really hungry for fame and fortune ... like a hungry tiger!"

Whoa. For the record, we really liked Brittany and truly believed that she cared deeply for Paris. Just last Christmas, which she spent with the entire Hilton family in Aspen, Brit blogged for us, "[Paris is] like my big sister. She does a lot for me and I can’t wait to one day be able to pay her back for everything."

Do those sound like the words of a stone-cold social climber?

Still, it's not our opinion that matters, and Paris' side of the story told of cutthroat ambition that culminated in the ultimate betrayal: fame ho-ism. Now, it's back to the drawing board for the wonely heiress.
