Here's What We Know About Sia's Next Album, This Is Acting

Stop talking and just take our money, Sia.

Sia has been keeping the mystery alive when it comes to her seventh studio album, This Is Acting, and her life in general TBH, but on Monday (Nov. 2) a load of precious details were finally revealed, including the album's cover image, release date, and how to keep tabs on the latest.

Here's what we know so far:

  • The Cover

Ahhh, mannequin wig, we meet again. Sia's been absolutely owning the Cruella de Vil-inspired two-tone 'do, and we dig it.

  • The Release Date

Thanks to a fancy new Instagram showcase made specifically for the album, Sia revealed that January 29th is when this musical magic will finally drop.

(Psst, her website adds that pre-orders will begin on November 4th.)

  • The Concept

"Most of the songs, if not all of them, I wrote for other people, and they were rejected. And so they are generally are songs that are not from my perspective, and so it feels like acting," Sia explained in an interview with Ryan Seacrest. "I have rejects from Rihanna, Adele, Shakira ... Beyoncé, Demi Lovato [and] Katy [Perry]."

  • The Songs

The track list for This is Acting is still something of a secret, but Sia's site does reveal that her in addition to her latest single, "Alive," it'll also include a tune called "Bird Set Free" which, like "Alive," was originally cut by Adele for 25 but was given to Sia to record instead. This is probably going to be some kinda empowerment anthem, and we are PUMPED.
