Selena Gomez and Jennifer Lawrence might not be besties yet, but it's definitely going to happen sooner or later -- especially now that they can bond over their mutual love of the hilarious, fabulous Amy Schumer.
Selena was in Hollywood last night (Nov. 1) to present Schumer with the Hollywood Comedy Award, which she did with a gloriously gushy speech about how the comedienne inspires her in her own life.
"I talk about her obsessively. I've tweeted her often. I try to impersonate her and it doesn't really work," she said, as reported by E! Online. "I actually just met her so basically what I'm saying is I'm really happy that clearly Jennifer Lawrence wasn't able to do this tonight because I love you."
Selena wasn't done with the praise for Amy, either:
"Amy, you've inspired me not take myself too seriously when I sit on my couch and I'm depressed about certain things," she said. "You constantly made me feel I'm a bad ass even though most of the time I'm not. You say the things I wish I could say and you never ever make feel bad about anything I do in my personal life."
And the lovefest continued when Amy Schumer took the stage.
"I didn't even ask Jen," she said. "Selena, you were my first choice."
Obviously, what we need now is a spot for Selena in the Schumer-verse -- preferably as the newest member of the Amy/J-Law girl squad. With their powers combined, they'll be unstoppable.
