Why D12 Just Dropped 'Devil's Night Mixtape' Without Eminem

Sorry, Shady fans.

Fourteen years after breaking into the rap world with Devil's Night, D12 has released a Halloween revival of the project with Devil's Night Mixtape.

Unfortunately for Shady fans, Eminem doesn't appear on it. Sad? Can't say I blame you, but the crew spoke with VladTV about why Slim is missing from this effort.

“Eminem didn’t make this project at all," Kuniva said. "He tried as much as he could, but he didn't make it. We could’ve waited for him to go ahead and do it, but we wanted to really just let people know that we're also emcees too and we can handle ourselves. We know how to do this sh-t.

"We need to reinvent ourselves," he added. "Everybody knows who Em is. So, we wanted to showcase ourselves on this and show people we could hold our own as emcees."

While they didn't say if Eminem will rejoin the crew in the future, Kuniva said we should expect more from the team soon. "This is just an appetizer for some sh-t to come," he added. "This is just a reintroduction of what's to come."

Here's Devil's Night Mixtape.
