And Chance The Rapper's Next Collaborator Is... Stephen Colbert?

We're surprised and intrigued.

The list of amazing musicians Chance The Rapper has collaborated with is long -- Vic Mensa, BJ the Chicago Kid, Action Bronson, Childish Gambino, James Blake, Justin Bieber and Madonna, to name a few. It makes sense. Chance is an incredible rapper and part of the hugely collaborative Chicago collective Savemoney.

You know what doesn't make a whole lot of sense? Chance the Rapper collaborating with "The Late Show" host Stephen Colbert. But that's exactly what's happening.

Chance stopped by New York's Hot 97 during his Family Matters tour and dropped the bomb that he and the former "Colbert Report" funnyman are working together on a song.

“Me and Stephen Colbert have been working on a song together, and it’s gonna released very soon,” he said. “He’s amazing. I can’t get that deep into it, but he’s amazing.”

Amazing indeed. The pairing seems... odd... but we're excited to hear what these two supremely talented – albeit in very different ways – guys have cooking.
