This Assistant Principal Lost Her Job For Starring In A Trey Songz Video

She's been reassigned.

Esther Adler-O’Keefe, an assistant principal at Southampton High School in New York, lost her job for appearing in "Best Friend," a Trey Songz and JR music video.

Adler-O’Keefe didn't get fired completely, though. Instead, she's been reassigned to "oversee a variety of academic support services throughout the district," according to Gawker.

She doesn't do much in the vid (she basically says a few words in the clip's intro and appears at the end), but the district isn't havin' any of it.

"The video in question showcases behaviors and language use that is not promoted by the Southampton School District,” school superintendent Dr. Scott Farina said, according to 27 East. "In fact, we actively teach our students the importance of good character and making smart choices. Additionally, this is not representative of who we are as a district, nor of our students and staff."

Despite appearing in the music vid, Adler-O’Keefe added that she was also "completely unaware of the content, lyrics, and title of the video and song."

People have been responding to the news for awhile.
