This High School Student Shaved His Head In Solidarity With His Homecoming Date

We nominate Braydon for King of the Sweethearts.

Allie Allen, 16, has more on her plate than most teens. Two years ago, the young dancer was diagnosed with anaplastic ependymoma, which are high grade tumors.

Recently Allen relapsed and is now undergoing chemotherapy for treatment. According to her GoFundMe page, this "comes with lots and lots of terrible side effects." Of all of the side effects that Allen was to experience because of the chemo, there was one that she was, "dreading the most -- hair loss."

Like many teen girls, Allen is particular about what her hair looks like and wrote that she "would freak out if [her] hairdresser cut off an inch too short." So, when her hair starting falling out, Allen decided to pull what she comically referred to as "a Britney Spears 2007" -- aka shaving her head.

While Allen expressed some relief at getting the hair loss process over with, she felt self-conscious about attending her school's upcoming homecoming dance with a shaved head. She planned on attending with childhood friend Braydon Carpenter.

The night of the homecoming dance, however, Allen was surprised when Carpenter picked her up for the dance with a shaved head of his own. He forgoed his hair in support of his friend. Allen and her family were, of course, touched by this incredibly thoughtful gesture.

"Now, that is class!" wrote Allen's mom, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer herself, on Facebook. As you can see, the pair looked absolutely stunning.
