A little French Bulldog named Jules is getting a lot of attention for scaring two young bears off her owner's property.

On Friday, Oct. 2, homeowner David Fernandez heard commotion outside his Monrovia, Calif. home. After seeing the tail end of his little dog's big moment, he reviewed the security footage taken on his porch and couldn't believe his eyes.

“She [Jules] wasn’t having it, you’re not coming in to her property,” said Hernandez to CBS Los Angeles about his 20-pound dog confronting two cubs whose full-grown mother (chillin' out of the camera frame) was also scared away. “[Jules] blew me away; couldn’t believe that she turned into a wolverine.”

Bears have been coming into the L.A.-area suburb to look for food ever since a wild fire in the Angeles National Forest depleted the food supply. It's a good thing Hernandez has a brave dog like Jules, or he could have walked into a completely different situation.
