Getting a tattoo on the inside of your mouth has been a thing for a while now, but when did that really "happen"? (IDK, we were probs too busy debating getting a THIRD Claire's ear piercing to notice. #Edgy) Well, never one to let Kesha and her lower-lip "Suck it" tat have all the fun, Miley Cyrus has raised the bar on the mouth-ink game.

The hot dog selfie auteur showed off her new sad cat Emoji lip tattoo on Instagram, first with a sad cat Emoji caption (#OBVS), then again in a close-up, captioning: "#sadkitty #fuckyeahtulsa @waynewontpostpicsofnakedwomen @katyweaver #lovemoneyparty #freakz"

Purrr-fect.

Um, you spot a connection between the two pop princesses' oral ink? We might just have The Flaming Lips to blame praise! ICYMI, Miley's been recording a Beatles cover with frontman Wayne Coyne, and the artist formerly known as K-Dolla nearly laid down some collabs with the band. #Lip$ha #NeverForget

We just hope the whole process doesn't hurt too much. Our lower lip is trembling just thinking about a tattoo needle... IDK, something tells us that Miley and Wayne had some form of "botanical remedy" to dull the pain, though.
