At least we know if Miley ever HAD to take a mug shot, she'd look stunning!

Stay calm! No palpitations on our watch! Miley Cyrus has not been arrested, nor does she have a legit mug shot. Our apologies for maybe freaking you out before your third cup of coffee.

Allow us to explain what's up with this picture: Earlier today, Miley took to Instagram to share a clearly SANS FLAW photo of herself holding up a small plaque bearing her name. You know, kind of like those nameplates the police make you hold when you're really gettin' booked. #intrigue

To make matters even more confusing, Miley captioned: "MUUURRRG SHOT."

Obviously, the "Adore You" crooner was just joking. In fact, this fancy-ass nameplate was probably, like, on the door of her dressing room at the "Late Show" or "SNL" or whatever, but, like, GUUUUUURL -- do not scare us. 

On the bright side, should Miley ever get arrested IRL (you know, for endangering the community by being CRIMINALLY BABELY and/ or public "touching"), at least we know she takes a damn good mug shot.

Fully clothed! No smudged eyeliner or nothing! Atta girl. #QuestionablePriorities
