At last night's annual Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute's Gala -- honoring the late, great designer Alexander McQueen -- famous people came out from their mansions and limos to show off some beautiful, boundary-pushing fashions. That's how the event works: Every year, celebrities are invited to The Met in New York to show off either their bodies, their keen sense of fashion or both. And this year did not disappoint, especially when it came to the original "good girl gone bad," Rihanna.

As usual, Rihanna looked flawless, wearing a one-shoulder lace gown by Stella McCartney that left tongues wagging, considering how little the opaque dress left to the imagination. She also rocked one long Grecian braid following her recent successful attempt at pulling off a sexy bun (a tough task for most non-librarians). But Rihanna could dress up like SpongeBob SquarePants, and she'd still manage to take your breath away.

It's as if the train on Rihanna's gown brilliantly mirrored the length of her long braid, giving Barbados another point for bestowing upon America not just the hottest lady ever, but a consummate fashion icon. McQueen would be proud.
