Watch Linkin Park's MTV World Stage Performances Of 'Waiting For The End' And 'New Divide'

We spent the end of 2010 year awash in the atmospherics of Linkin Park's A Thousand Suns album. But before that album, one of Linkin Park's biggest singles and most beloved anthems was "New Divide," which didn't appear on Minutes to Midnight or A Thousand Suns but instead appeared on the soundtrack to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. But even without the platform of a Linkin Park album, "New Divide" went platinum in American and New Zealand and became the group's biggest U.S. chart hit since "In the End." And the "New Divide" video became one of Linkin Park's most popular videos to date.

The "New Divide" video was an exercise in special effects and surreal scenarios, and the live version of the song only adds to its intense, unnerving, otherworldliness. Case in point: Linkin Park's unmissable MTV World Stage performance of "New Divide," filmed live in Madrid. It's particularly compelling to see the band layer all the song's intricate and complicated pieces, building to the track's cathartic finale, in front of the adoring audience.

Check out the video of Linkin Park performing "New Divide" live in Madrid, below. Then stick around to watch Linkin Park blow the doors off the MTV EMA crowd in Spain, performing its most recent single, "Waiting For The End," which--as you'll recall--spawned the video that made credible all those Radiohead comparisons.

After the jump, be sure to check the tour dates for Linkin Park's upcoming U.S. tour with Pendulum and Does It Offend You, Yeah? You'll find even more details at Linkin Park's website: linkinpark.com
