Lily Allen may have retired from making music (she has a tendency to do such things), but she hasn't retired her typically headline-making opinions (thank God).

Allen's from-the-hip quips on pop culture can often be as charming as the mix-n-match pop found on her two albums (Alright Still and It's Not Me, It's You). In a recent issue of Harper's Bazaar Allen weighed in on one of her favorite topics: current pop music.

When asked who she preferred between Lady Gaga and Britney Spears, Allen was quick with a response: "You cannot compare Britney with Lady Gaga...You are putting Lady Gaga at the same level of Britney Spears? I really cannot believe it. Lady Gaga is good, but she's a new artist, Britney Spears is a legend."

Allen went on to make an oh-so-Lily comparison: "They are two different artists, two forms of entertainment but very different, is like comparing Picasso to Dali."

While I appreciate Lily's devotion to Britney, it sounds like she might be revising her Gaga opinion soon; the Lady is getting something supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ready for her follow up to The Fame (and The Fame Monster).

Gaga recently told MTV News that she's beginning to work on her new album while she continues her Monster's Ball tour. She's hoping to take her road experiences and infuse her new music with "a new sonic energy." Heads up, Lily!
