Over the past few months, Lady Gaga has been teasing that she’s started work on a fifth studio album. And in November, it will be a full two years since the world was last graced with a solo record from her -- ARTPOP.
Lately, Gaga seems to have her hands full with shooting scenes for "American Horror Story: Hotel" rather than working on new music. Although, let’s not forget the incredible “Til It Happens To You," the song she recorded for the campus rape documentary “The Hunting Ground."
Many fans have been left to wonder, “Is this album still happening?” Well in case you missed it, Gaga posted some evidence on Instagram last night proving that she’s back in the game.
Exhibit A: A photo with her producer RedOne.
RedOne is a longtime collaborator of Gaga’s. Together, they’ve created hits like “Poker Face” and “LoveGame,” so it’s exciting to see these two putting their heads together again.
Exhibit B: A video of a silent guitar.
Can we expect some heavy rock riffs on this new album? In a Reddit AMA, Gaga mentioned that in high school, she was in a classic rock cover band. She said, “Led Zeppelin was a huge inspiration for me. I’m certain that side of my musicianship will seep through the pores of music in the future.”
Exhibit C: A photo of some audio waveform snippets.
By a raise of hands, who wishes that they had those audio files downloaded on their own computer right now?
Gaga fans, rejoice! LG5 is coming our way soon!
