More than 10 years ago, Destiny’s Child released their last studio album, 2004’s Destiny Fulfilled. The title said it all: after 14 years and plenty of lineup changes, they had satisfied their duties as R&B queens and were hanging up their coordinated camo garb once and for all.

But it looks like Destiny’s Child may actually have more material in store for us. At least, if Matthew Knowles has anything to say about it.

Beyoncé’s father and former manager told the Huffington Post on Monday (Sept. 21) that he’s still very much involved with the group and is in fact working on “a few” DC-related projects.

“I am extremely hopeful that the ladies will come back with an album and a tour,” he said. “I’m working on a few Destiny’s Child projects right now.

“My second book will be the autobiography of Destiny’s Child,” he continued. “I'm talking to the film and TV community right now, regarding a Destiny’s Child movie or TV series of some sort.”

Let’s review: he’s apparently shopping an album, a tour, a book, a movie and a TV show. That’s a lot of Destiny’s Child! And just when can we hope to see all of this come together?

“I still manage the ladies, and I’m hopeful that within the next two to three years we’ll see something major come from it,” Knowles said.

The key piece of the puzzle that Knowles didn’t address, however, is if Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams are actually on board with any or all of these projects. But at least we know the ladies are still on good terms with one another. In March, they reunited at the Stellar Gospel Music Awards to perform Williams’ “Say Yes.” And in 2013, Williams and Rowland joined Beyonce during her electric Super Bowl halftime performance.

Both of those reunions proved the trio are just as talented and sisterly as ever, so we can only hope at least one of these Destiny’s Child projects comes to fruition. Or might we suggest waiting until Blue Ivy is old enough to play her mom in a big-screen biopic of the DC story? Just tossing that idea out there…
