8 Great 'Minority Report' Easter Eggs That Made The Jump To TV
In its small-screen incarnation, "Minority Report" has a decidedly different flavor than the 2002 Spielberg sci-fi drama of the same name.
Think: Less philosophical rumination on the nature of justice, destiny, and free will; more pigeon poop jokes.
But while "Minority Report" lost some of its emotional/intellectual baggage in the jump to TV, the actual world from the big-screen version remained largely intact, with lots of instantly-recognizable easter eggs throughout for fans of the movie. Here's everything we spotted:
Jetpack cops
The police are still getting around in style (albeit on ziplines this time.)
Helmets that know your thoughts
MURRRRDERRRR.
Advertisements galore
Although the anthropomorphic marijuana leaf was a new wrinkle.
Hologram interface tech
Do it, maestro.
Also, portable holograms on computerized contact lenses
When can we get these IRL?
The injection that melts your face
Yep, that's still gross.
Drones that look like creepy bugs
The new ones are more dragonfly than spider, but still. ROBOT INSECTS.
And of course, WALLY.
Same character, same actor. Wally continuity for the win.
