There are a lot of reasons to walk out of a Tinder date and if one of those reasons is that the person hates bacon, then boy has Oscar Mayer got the dating app for you.

Sizzl is dating app designed for bacon lovers where you can "connect with thousands of like-minded lovers who share your selective taste in bacon that’s cured for 12 hours, and smoke-housed for another 12."

The free iOS app is only available for the next six months, according to TIME and seems primarily like a promotional stunt. The bacon tab on the apps site even redirects you to a site featuring all different types of bacon, you know, in case you wanted to date one of them instead. But the FAQs still stress that this is a real app where you could find your soulmate, so I downloaded it to see.

After answering a series of bacon related questions, my account was set up and I was ready to put myself out there. Maybe I was early to the party, maybe it was my location, but for whatever reason there were no bacon lovers out there for me.

The app did give me the option of inviting others and I did, but all it really did was plug Sizzl on my Twitter account.

Maybe if more people would put down their BLTs and download this app, we'll all have a better shot at finding bacon loving lovers. Until then, there's always Tinder.
