Actually, Emilia Clarke Is Totally Cool With 'Game Of Thrones' Sex Scenes

Mother of Dragons, Breaker of False Reports.

"Game Of Thrones" is known for its overly gratuitous sex scenes and for showing as many naked womens' bodies as they do dead bodies (And hey, sometimes they're naked and dead!). But Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) hasn't had many full-frontal moments lately -- which makes sense when you think about it, considering she's too busy running a city state, flying on dragons and setting her enemies on fire.

But after making headlines for being quoted in The Daily Mail as saying that she "can't stand" sex scenes and "don’t want to have sex thrown in my face," Clarke took to her Instagram account to clarify her words and set the record straight.

"I was followed into a party by a journalist who asked me a question about female empowerment and then quoted me entirely out of context for an outlet I didn’t agree to speak with," she wrote. "So I feel now, with the beauty of Instagram I should clarify my statements, if for nothing else than for posterity.

"In drama, if a nude scene forwards a story or is shot in a way that adds insight into characters, I’m perfectly fine with it. Sometimes explicit scenes are required and make sense for the characters/story, as they do in Westeros. If it’s gratuitous for gratuitous sake, then I will discuss with a director on how to make it more subtle."

"In either case, she added, "like a good Mother of Dragons, I’m always in control," rounding things out with the hashtags #dracarys, #bodiesmaybetemplesbutmindsarewhatmatter and #MODforreal. Wow, did anyone just get shivers? Because that is a perfect Khaleesi line right there, no doubt about it.
