Lil Wayne Wants Drake To Never Stop Being Canadian

This was real advice from Weezy.

If you're a Drake fan, you probably know that he's forever thankful to Lil Wayne for taking a chance on him, signing him to Cash Money Records and pretty much giving him a platform to become one of the biggest rap stars of all time.

But, have you ever wondered what kind of advice Weezy gave to Drizzy early in his career? Because, it's the best.

In an interview with ESPN's Cari Champion, Wayne revealed that he really encouraged Drake to be himself. And by himself, he meant...stay Canadian?

"I was the one to tell him -- don't change anything. Don't think 'cause you're coming over here by me that you gotta rap about the things I rap about," Wayne explained, adding that he even encouraged him to rap about "Degrassi."

"Please rap about your little TV show, rap about girls, 'cause that's what you're good at. Don't start singing about killin' nobody. Don't start singing about the streets. Keep it Canadian."

Haaaa, okay even Wayne had to laugh when he dropped that tidbit, but I 100 percent believe that that's how the conversation went down.

And although Drake has been the hottest rapper in the game for about five years running, Wayne has no doubt that he's still a better rapper than him.

"Man, I'd annihilate that guy," he said laughing, "I was trying to keep it Canadian, but you got me with that one.
