Kristen Stewart Has Some Really Refreshing Thoughts On Kim Davis

We can all learn so much from K. Stew.

It's real easy sometimes for long-time marriage equality supporters to do nothing but side-eye when people like Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis make the news -- but leave it to the ever-thoughtful Kristen Stewart to give us a totally different and compassionate way to look at that same old story.

Stewart shared her thoughts on the Davis-debacle with The Daily Beast while doing press for her new movie "Equals." But, instead of condemning the clerk or getting snarky about her less-than-enlightened LGBT views, Stewart said she actually felt "really bad" for Davis.

"Honestly, it makes me so deeply uncomfortable. I feel really bad for her. Anyone who’s so closed off to things that are so apparent? Imagine what else she’s missing out on in life. I’m not making any grand statements about her personally, but if something so glaringly obvious, such as this subject…" Stewart said. "That’s why I feel bad for her. It’s like, 'Oh, buddy, that must suck.' That fear of the unknown cripples people, breeds hate, and it’s just very sad."

Oh, buddy, she makes a good point. K. Stew, we'd like to be a lot more like you someday.
