The tables have turned for Lady Gaga and her longtime stylist, Brandon Maxwell, at New York Fashion Week. As Brandon prepared for his fashion week debut tonight (Sept. 14), his best friend -- and boss -- was there to serve as his assistant.

Gaga started off the day with this picture saying, "I'm officially not just Gaga today, I'm "Gijhss" [pronounced] like Gigi without the I. @brandonmaxwell had called me that for almost 10 years and tonight Gijhss the assistant will be there for her best friend and talent Brando she loves so much." And she didn't just talk the talk, either.

She documented the entire day as they got ready for the show, showing off everything from the final touches to the set to the foot cushions she gave the models. And of course, she Periscoped the whole show from her account.

So in case there's any doubt: just because Gaga's an international pop star doesn't mean she's afraid to do the dirty work for her friends.
