How Rihanna Won New York Fashion Week Without Going To A Single Show

When you think about who the reigning Queen of Fashion is, who comes to mind? For me, it's Rihanna, and if you try to fight me on that, I will talk your ear off for 48 hours straight no problem. As a fashion and Rihanna fan who lives in NYC, the prospect of Her RIH-ness gracing New York Fashion Week is pretty much the best motivation for getting out of bed every morning. Unfortunately, this NYFW season Rihanna did not show up at a single show (not even one!), and she's already in Los Angeles as I type. Even still, Rih managed to win the week. Here's how.

She kicked off NYFW with a bang. And a big party.

Rihanna

A torrential downpour didn't stop Rihanna from throwing a dinner and a giant block party in the middle of Manhattan for the kick-off of Fashion Week. All the biggest superstars were there—Kim and Kanye, Joe and Gigi, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell—and there were even performances from Young Thug and Travi$ Scott. You'd think that would mean she'd go to at least one show, but...nope.

She pulled off a dress over pants.

Rihanna

In my opinion, this is an accomplish in and of itself.

She truly brought her fashion to the streets (/parks) of New York.

Her Stance models gave away CASES of her brand new sock design collab in the middle of Washington Square Park. I did not make it in time. :(

Her perfume truck was everywhere.

On her way to the Christian Siriano show, Maeve Keirans spotted the RiRi truck and obviously stocked up on our favorite Bad Gal's newest scent.

And oh, was she generous.

Maeve secured many samples so that we could all smell like queens. ?

She made bank.

Who else is selling out of products during Fashion Week? Anyone you've ever heard of? Nahhhhhh. Bow in the presence of greatness.

And now, she's just chilling in sweatpants.

In other words, she is living the dream (/my dream) right now.
