Zack Snyder Is Being A Total Mean Girl About Ant-Man

Why don't you pick on someone your own size?

Things must be a wee bit tense in the world of comic book movies right now

At least, we're guessing that's why Zack Snyder, who has never shown signs before of being a big meanie to smaller heroes, just straight-up dissed poor Ant-Man for no reason at all.

In a new interview with The Daily Beast, the "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" director was asked about Steven Spielberg's recent comment that superhero films are on their way to extinction -- a comment Snyder agrees with!

That is, if you're talking about those other heroes.

"It goes to the mythological nature of the movies that we’re making,” Snyder said, explaining why he believes that there will always be a place onscreen for Batman and Superman. “I feel like [Spielberg] is right. But I feel like Batman and Superman are transcendent of superhero movies in a way, because they’re Batman and Superman. They’re not just, like, the flavor of the week Ant-Man -- not to be mean, but whatever it is. What is the next Blank-Man?"

Um, not to be mean, but that is mean, Zack Snyder. Not to mention grossly insensitive, considering Ant-Man's known traumatic history with flavors of the week.
