This Vintage Jackie O Break-Up Letter Tops Every Taylor Swift Song In The Books

Turns out, the legendary FLOTUS was also fashionable at breaking up.

Jackie O is, was, and always will be a true national treasure thanks to her unparalleled sense of style and class. And, as it turns out, she also had some serious sass on tap when it came to dousing an old flame.

The internet has unearthed a batch of vintage letters the then-unmarried Jackie Bouvier wrote -- in particular one addressed to an ex-beau in 1947. And the thorough yet subtle way that she laid burn to this poor chap with just a single, snippy sentence should give every gal -- lookin' at you, Taylor Swift -- some mad inspiration for her next epic break-up letter.

The handwritten note, which was part of a bunch sold at Christie's auction for $134,500 a few years back, was addressed to her high school boyfriend whom she'd decided to end things with once and for all.

"I've always thought of being in love as being willing to do anything for the other person — starve to buy them bread and not mind living in Siberia with them," she wrote. "And I've always thought that every minute away from them would be hell — so looking at it that [way] I guess I'm not in love with you."

Daammmmmmmn, that was so harsh it was poetry. Somebody sync that line to a catchy acoustic track and bam, you've got the next great split song chorus all lined up.

Of course, that's not the only bit of epic sauce the future FLOTUS delivered to this fella.

Before she'd decided she wasn't in love with him and cut him loose, she once had to explain why it is that she didn't need to be some PDA queen to prove her affection for him or anyone for that matter.

"I do love you though — and can love you without kissing you every time I see you and I hope you understand that," she'd written earlier that winter. Ouch. So much ouch.

Jackie Bouvier-Kennedy-Onassis may have been a First Lady IRL, but to us she is an eternal QUEEN.
